Worst Fantasy Book Series
We hate to admit it, but sometimes a series is just bad. Or worse, the author did something to destroy a good series. We try to be generous and look for the good in what we read, but we don't like plot holes, inconsistent magic, boring characters, or widespread grammar or formatting errors. A few missing or extra words are forgiven, but one mangled passage after another will land a series here.
One of the common things you'll find in this list are single books that have been split into a series of books without thought for the reader. The individual books don't contain complete stories, they'll often contain cliff hangers designed to get you to buy the next book in the series, or employ some other tactic designed for increased sales (but ends up ruining an otherwise good story).
